Dear Subscribers,

Welcome to our first SGS Global Crop Services Newsletter! We intend it to be a quarterly update of our capabilities and of interesting industry news.

SGS Group has built a network of field trial stations located in Europe, in North & South America as well as in Asia to provide standardized services to the world’s major biotechnology, agrochemical and fertilizer producing companies. These centers provide a comprehensive field trials service in accordance with GLP and GEP. Our experienced staff can conduct field trials to support the screening, development and registration of agricultural and horticultural chemicals, bio-pesticides, fertilizers and also new plant varieties and seeds. Our new agricultural research team in China started their first field trial near Beijing end of last month and our Indian team will follow soon.

SGS Group continues to expand its international network of soil fertility laboratories to assist growers optimizing crop potential. Two new SGS laboratories will start this summer: the first one in Voronezh in Russia and the second one in Lima in Peru. In addition to testing, these laboratories will provide GPS site-specific soil sampling, digital maps of nutrients as well as fertility recommendations.

We are constantly looking beyond customers’ and society’s expectations in order to deliver market leading services wherever they are needed. As the leader in providing specialized business solutions that improve quality, safety and productivity and reduce risk, we help customers navigate an increasingly regulated world. Our independent services add significant value to our customers’ operations and ensure business sustainability.

SGS has assembled a great team of agronomic specialists to service your needs. Thank you for checking out SGS and your support.

Sincerely yours,
